Let’s talk about PFAS

The educational activity “Challenges to the “Forever Chemicals” in Support of the EU Strategy for the Gradual Elimination of the Use of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS)” took place on April 15, 2024. The students of the “Omar” Secondary School in Novara actively participated in the discussion with Professor Giuseppina Meo about the ‘forever chemicals’ and their impact on the environment. A student said “This activity has been very helpful and I will use for sure the information to keep discovering new topics”.
Acid base reaction

With the help of everyday materials, the students were able to observe first-hand a simple but interesting chemical reaction, from the activity number 1 of the curriculum. The activity, conducted at the Santa Ana School in Calatayud, organized by Geinnova and Fundación 2100, proved to be a success, offering students a practical and playful way to understand scientific concepts, while fostering teamwork.
Bioplastics from orange peels

Through a pleasant and working atmosphere in the Orde Chopela’s school laboratory, arount 30 students from North Macedonia were making bioplastics from orange peels and lovely aromatic soaps. .
North Macedonian Piloting Workshop

Eco-Logic and SOU Orde Chopela had the piloting workshop testing and using didactic materials digital educational game and videos for the project “Circular Chemistry in the Digital Era” in the secondary school Sou Orde Chopela Prilep.

Italian Piloting Workshop

On October 30 in Vercelli (Piedmont), three classes from the “Galileo Ferraris” Technical Institute participated in the pilot test of the digital game on circular chemistry created as part of the CCDE project. A total of 38 students competed, playing in teams, to grow a green, circular, and sustainable business. The students also provided valuable feedback for refining the “Circular Chemistry Challenge” App and appreciated the relevance of the game’s content to the curriculum in the Agrifood sector.
Spanish Piloting Workshop

On October 29th, we hosted an event at Colegio Santa Ana in Calatayud (Spain) to showcase the “Circular Chemistry in the Digital Era” (CCDE) project, promoting sustainability through circular chemistry. Teachers and students explored the project’s goals, curriculum, and interactive resources, including a “learning by doing” YouTube series and an educational game app. In small groups, participants applied circular chemistry concepts to real-world scenarios, such as waste reduction and environmental protection, by playing the game on the developed app. The event concluded with positive feedback, underscoring the CCDE project’s success in inspiring sustainable practices and future change.
